Sod installation & delivery across metro Atlanta

We are based in Atlanta and we work a tight radius on purpose. A sod crew that drives ninety minutes each way cannot deliver material the same day it is cut, or come back next month to check a job. Staying inside metro Atlanta is what lets us hold same-week scheduling and actually keep it.

It also means we know the ground. Intown lots in Atlanta and Decatur sit on Georgia’s notorious Piedmont red clay, which compacts hard, drains slowly and often carries more established tree canopy that shades a lawn more than newer subdivisions do. The north-metro communities out in Roswell and Alpharetta run more open, full-sun lots, where fast establishment and heat tolerance matter more than shade tolerance.

Home base: Atlanta & intown communities

Our home turf and the bulk of our work. Atlanta itself covers a wide range of lot types, from older intown neighborhoods with established tree canopy to open, full-sun new-build lots. We also cover Decatur, Brookhaven and Chamblee just outside the city proper.

North Metro and West Metro

North of the city we work Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek and Peachtree Corners, where established tree canopy and larger lots mean more shade-versus-sun grass decisions. West of the city we cover Marietta, Smyrna, Vinings and Kennesaw — a mix of established and newer-build lots, and a growing share of our route.

Why the radius is deliberately tight

We get asked regularly whether we will drive to Athens, Gainesville or south of the airport. Usually the answer is no, and the reason is freshness and scheduling. Sod cut the morning of your delivery and driven across town starts drying and losing vigor the longer it sits on the pallet. A company that drives ninety minutes each way either cuts corners on timing or cannot make the trip work economically, which is exactly why so many sod jobs from out-of-area companies show up looking stressed before they are even laid.

Staying inside metro Atlanta also keeps our estimate turnaround at 24 to 48 hours and makes same-day sod installs genuinely possible rather than aspirational. It is a smaller market than we could serve, and it is the reason we can actually do what we say.

Just outside the list? Call anyway. We regularly make the drive for larger commercial and HOA sod programs where the job size justifies the trip. Small residential yards and delivery-only orders we usually cannot.

What you get regardless of which city you are in

Same crew, same grass types, same eight services, same flat written pricing and the same one-year establishment warranty on every install. Your ZIP code changes the drive time, not the standard of the work or what you pay per square foot.

Questions

Service area FAQs

No. Every community on our service area list is on our normal route, so the price you are quoted is the price you pay regardless of whether you are in Atlanta proper or Kennesaw. If you are outside the list we will tell you honestly whether the drive works for your job size before we quote.

Estimates usually happen within 24 to 48 hours anywhere in the service area. For the work itself, most residential jobs are same-week, and larger commercial or HOA programs run a bit further out. Kennesaw, Johns Creek and Peachtree Corners sometimes run a day longer simply because of drive time.

Not routinely. Driving beyond our normal radius adds enough time that we cannot hold our usual scheduling, or guarantee material arrives fresh, on the other end of the trip. For a large multi-property job it is worth a phone call, but for smaller jobs you will get better service from a company based closer to you.

Yes, and a meaningful share of our work is HOA common areas, community entrances and condo lawns. We provide a certificate of insurance and W-9 up front, can invoice the association directly, and are happy to walk the property with a board member or property manager before quoting.

No. Pricing is driven by square footage, grass type, prep needed and access — not by your ZIP code. A yard costs the same in Marietta as it does in Dunwoody. Difficult access and extensive old-lawn removal cost more anywhere.

Yes, significantly. Intown lots in Atlanta and Decatur sit on dense Piedmont red clay that compacts and drains slowly, and often carry more shade from established tree canopy. Sloped or full-sun lots in Roswell and Alpharetta drain differently and favor faster-establishing grass, so grading and grass choice matter more there.

The older, more established intown neighborhoods, where decades of compacted clay and thinning old grass create yards that need real grading and weed-kill first. Parts of Atlanta and Decatur commonly need more prep work than newer-build lots. We check yard condition on every estimate, in every city, before quoting sod.

Yes, we plan around the forecast everywhere we work. Summer downpours can wash out freshly laid sod on a slope that has not rooted yet, so we time installs to give new turf a chance to settle before heavy rain, and we will tell you if your install window needs to shift.

We can give you a rough range over the phone or from texted photos, and that is often enough to decide whether to proceed. But the written flat price requires an on-site visit, because square footage, drainage and existing lawn condition are the three biggest cost drivers and none of them are reliable from a photo.

It genuinely does not matter. The service area pages exist so you can read about your specific community, but the pricing, scheduling and warranty are identical across all fourteen. Pick whichever page is closest to you, or just call and tell us your cross streets.
